Garden Rhythm

This work was conceived around the relationship between a permanent garden and the daily movement within it. The stone figure remains unchanged, while fish cross the pond in shifting patterns, sunlight moves through bamboo, and reflections reorganize the scene from moment to moment.

The garden is not shown as a place outside ordinary life, but as a carefully maintained environment where change can be observed clearly. Garden Rhythm represents the possibility of holding structure and spontaneity together. The scene suggests that a well-composed life is not static; it creates enough stability for movement to become expressive rather than disruptive.

Koi symbolize persistence, vitality, and purposeful movement. Their varied colors introduce individuality within a shared current. The pond represents emotional depth and the reflective quality of awareness.

The seated figure provides visual and symbolic stillness, while the bamboo conveys adaptability and continuous growth. The sculpted tree suggests patience, stewardship, and beauty shaped over time. Stone represents grounding, and the lantern introduces the idea of guidance held close to the earth. Together, the elements create a balanced system in which movement, care, and rest support one another.
